One Man's Wilderness An excellent read, interesting to learn about living alone in the wilderness for such a long period of time.
One Man's Wilderness: An Alaskan Odyssey The book itself was a bit crinkled when it got here. It came wrapped in paper rather than boxed.
The story was great. Wonderful full page pictures through out. Anyone that likes history or adventure stories will love this man's true story. Great gift for a man.
Good, but in need of some background This journal is well written, and skips a lot of boring little details while focusing on important and intersting things associated with living alone in Alaska, but it only covers the first 16 months of about 30 years, so it raises many more questions, than it provides answers. A complete biography should be added to the book. I did do some research, and learned a great deal more about the indiivual. My interest for reading this book came after seeing the video on PBS. It's diffintely worth the read. Chris of Boston
Fascinating book. Fascinating story of one man's quest in the wilderness. Pictures are outstanding. Can't put the book down once it's been started.
Interesting tale of getting away from it all An interesting story of leaving the rest of the world behind, but gets a bit repetitive and long winded. I liked reading about how he built his cabin and made this beautiful wilderness environment his home
