No cliche, if you are a Corben fan buy this! ^ I have been a fan of comics since I was a wee lad. Many great artists to be sure, but Richard Corben has always captivated my eyes and heart. As an artist I was blown-away by his sculptural eye, and unique color techniques. No one has ever come close to creating the same style in their characters.
This tale of Sinbads adventures is easily among the best work Richard Corben has ever produced! Rich and sensuous, the characters truly come alive! Jan Strnad has been one of Corben's best collaborators, and the story is tight!
If you don't know Corben from Kirby, this is the best book to become introduced to one of the best, and certainly under-rated comic artists of our generation. If you are a Corben fan, and haven't picked this one up yet, do it now! You will love it!! I am on my second copy now, the first well worn copy I gave to a friend.
...lost masterpiece of graphic storytelling.... ^ this is probably one of the greatest original graphic novels to be released in the past 20 years. Corben's lush, sensual coloring combines with the imaginative story by Strnad that easily stands on it's own along with classic works by Eisler and Moebius.
