Funny and fast-paced, this series puts a fresh spin on girl-detective stories and has won an everexpanding number of fans.
Delightful, hilarious, engaging series ^ My husband has been reading this series aloud to my 6 & 8 year old over the last year. It never fails to delight them, and I often hear giggling from their reading corner. I sometimes even find myself finding a comfortable spot nearby to listen in as well. Great riffs on classic stories and fairytales and their characters, with a modern sensibility. You'll love to see some of your favorite characters introduced in their new guise, and your children will be introduced to a variety of great themes and characters of imaginative literature. Good series for read aloud or for competent independent readers, probably grades 3 and up.
I LOVE THEM!! ^ A friend brought me the first in the series of these books and i read half of it in one day and went and ordered the rest straight away. I love these books they are nice easy reads and fun. They are great for kids of all ages!!!!
Once Upon A Crime ^ I love this entire series! The Sisters Grimm is very interesting! It catches your attention and you can't put it down until you are finished!
other books in this series are better ^ I was not happy when I read that Sabrina was possessed by a ghost and was talking through her.The scene is brief and they try to make it comical but I didn't like it one bit. All the other books are great, it has just enough potty humor for boys to love but nothing overboard. This book in my opinion was too much for me.
4 is KINDA WACKY BUT STILL GOOD ^ Love all the Sister Grimm books. This one, does go out on a limb, more than the others, but the story line still continues and that is what matters. The girls work together and finally find sense of family. The underlying messages in these books is great for readers of all ages. Enough adventure and humor for everyone of all ages, and great use of fairy tale characters, both good and bad. A must have for the series to continue.
