Storytime really can be fun! Purchase any Julia Donaldson book and you will fall in love with this author. The Gruffalo is her first and it is totally delightful! The verses are engaging and will capture any child's attention. You can't go wrong with this or any in the series.
Our favorite book! We received this book as a gift before my son was born. I didn't start reading it to him until he was three months old, but it became an instant favorite. We have to love the books we read to our children and The Gruffalo is so witty and fun that you can't help but love it. Donaldson's rhyming story of a mouse who outwits his predators is rhythmically told and beautifully illustrated by Scheffler. We read it so often that I had to buy a second copy and take it along on trips. Note that the boardbook is worded slightly different than the hardback storybook (we like the boardbook better). I also recommend the Snail and the Whale.
exciting and funny My 4 year old daughter loves the book. I have to read it over and over! The images are wonderful, the story has rithm and is exciting. A hit!
Wonderful book My children love this book so much they can recite most of it from memory. The illustrations are beautiful also. A must for any child's book collection.
One of the best childrens books you will find! Our friends from the UK highly recommended this book as it received the British Smarties award. I have to say my 2 and 4 year old absolutely love this book. At the age of three my daughter had memorized this entire book and the clever rhyming. It is a wonderful story and you will not be disappointed.
