Product Description: I like you and you like me, and though we're different as can be . . . we both like being friends!
In lilting rhyme and charming images two true-blue best friends proclaim their differences, and have fun with them too. So when one wants to play baseball and the other prefers a game of dress-up, a true pal finds she can pitch while wearing a tiara. And though one buddy favors days and the other nights-both like having pillow fights!
In this tender, joyful portrait of friendship's give-and-take, young readers will easily find reflections of their own special relationships.
What a joyful book to share I love this book. My grand daughter comes to my day care and has a special friend. They love when I read this book because they see theirselves in it. Each of them like some of the same things while each of them are very different. They like when I read this book and we talk about how being friends is accepting the way others are different. I recommend this book to build self esteem and friendship.
Friendship 101 What an absolutely darling little tale! The catchy rhyme and whimsical illustrations tell the story of two very different little girls who are able to compromise their difference and focus on what makes them friends. Perfect for teaching about friendship.
Great Book about Friends My daughter loves this book. It shows that friends don't have to be the same or like the same things.
What a great book! I loved this book. I read it to 6 different classrooms (grades K and 1) All of them enjoyed it. The two girls, one white and one black, talk about their friendship. Sometimes they like that same things and sometimes they don't. But they are still best friends. I have also purchased this for our church library. It teaches the best way to be a friend without being at preachy. The illustrations are delightful
