Facts of life I bought this for a niece. It's very factual and easy to understand. It's better to receive information from a true and factual source rather than hearing from peers who really don't know what they are talking about. Having the facts makes them better prepared to not get into something they can't handle.
Excellent Resource This book has many illustrations that add to the text of the book. The pictures are tactful and very matter of fact. The text is very factual and very matter of fact as well. This is the type of book that you can pull out to explain one small part about the 'facts of life'. Each two page spread or so covers one small section about the facts of life. It is a little bit simple for older preteens but it will have some very good information for this age as well, particularly if htis is the first time they are hearing the information.
