Product Description:
The Caped Crusader and Robin battle Mr. Freeze and Poison Ivy. Uncle Alfred is dying and his niece comes to help and becomes Batgirl.
Genre: Feature Film-Action/Adventure
Rating: PG13
Release Date: 21-OCT-1997
Media Type: DVD

Amazon.com:
Following Val Kilmer's portrayal of the caped crusader in Batman Forever, the fourth Batman feature stars George Clooney under the pointy-eared cowl, with Chris O'Donnell returning as Robin the Boy Wonder. This time the dynamic duo is up against the nefarious Mr. Freeze (Arnold Schwarzenegger), who is bent on turning the world into an iceberg, and the slyly seductive but highly toxic Poison Ivy (Uma Thurman), who wants to eliminate all animal life and turn the Earth into a gigantic greenhouse. Alicia Silverstone lends a hand as Batgirl, and Elle McPherson plays the thankless role of Batman/Bruce Wayne's fiancée. A sensory assault of dazzling colors, senseless action, and lavish sets run amok, this Batman & Robin offers an overdose of eye candy, but it is strictly for devoted Bat-o-philes. --Jeff Shannon

5 out of 5 starsBlows The Dark Knight out of the water
I usually hate everything about Batman; the comic books suck, the early movies with Michael Queefton suck, the animated series is awful, and the new movies with Christian Bale are awful, but this is one of the best movies I've ever seen. The plot and the characters are 100 times darker than The Dark Knight's. Arnold is a way better villain than Heath, but hopefully Heath can beat him one day. Clooney and O'Donnell are phenomenal as well. Also Batgirl and Poison Ivy are well-developed characters.

Skip all the others and get this classic instead.

2 out of 5 starsFun to watch every now and then...but it's still crap!
One of the most embarassingly bad films of all time (lucky for George Clooney he had the ER to limp back to). This film needs surgery. Massive surgery. Not even Christopher Nolan could redeem this.

This is a good film to watch in the summer if the Air Conditioning is broken (mental Air Conditioning). Actually, this is the feature film equivalent of a brain freeze...it'll take a few hours for this thoughtless drivel to ooze out of your ears and nose and allow your brain to thaw.

The only reason I'm giving this film 2 stars is because, while some of his lines are bad, Ahnuld still gives it his all. He actually has a few funny moments. BUT THIS IS NOT A SERIOUS BATMAN FILM. If you want to see
a film about a Dark Knight, watch the Tim Burton films, and of coruse the Christopher Nolan series. But unless you can clear your mind of all expectations (as I must before I view this) and prepare for something that looks kinda good but sounds like bat farts (awful dialogue), avoid this patch of ice at all costs!

1 out of 5 starsWHOA!
Will someone tell me how this ended? I didn't get to finish cuz it was SO BORING abd STUPID!

Way too many characters!
We got three villains! Mr.Freeze, Poison Ivy, and Bane! (LAME!)
You have Batman & Robin (duh) and then they throw in Batgirl! (MEGA LAME!) Come on! How lame can this movie get!?
And also, in the mix, Alfred has a disease is dying! (ULTRA LAME!)
Way too many things happening in this movie!

They shoud have only had Poison Ivy (Mr.Freeze and Bane don't need to be in this movie!), they should've gotten Batgirl out the the movie, shes completely pointless! And then forget Alfred dying! That would be a movie that I would watch, instead of this!

4 out of 5 starsBatman on Ice!!!
I honestly don't know why all these whiny comic nerds hate this movie! Ever since I was 7, I've loved this movie! Everybody does an awesome job, including Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze. Batman and Robin try to stop Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, and Bane from turning Gotham into a giant ice sculpture. Poison Ivy has seduced Robin and turns him against Batman, until he gives Robin a speech about family. They receive help from Batgirl. During all the madness, Alfred Pennyworth is getting sick! It seems like this has a more gothic look. If you love Batman, and you're not a whiny comic dork, you'll love BATMAN & ROBIN!!!

1 out of 5 starsA truely awful movie
The "Cop Rock" of the Batman Series. It represents the things I really, really dislike about Hollywood and its overblown product.
