4 out of 5 starsX-men catch a break ^
After all the bad things happening to the X-men they finally catch a break and start to enjoy life a little. I like the new character Pixie and seeing old x-men show up looking for home. (Even Queen Ororo). Also the art looks great.

4 out of 5 starsAn excellent re-working of a classic X-men trend ^
"All New! All Different!" is a theme that has defined the X-Men ever since the classic Giant-Sized X-Men #1 brought the X-Men back from the publishing graveyard and started Marvel's mighty-mutants down the path to become the greatest selling comic of all time. In "Uncanny X-Men: Manifest Destiny" our favorite mutants are revamped once again. The landmark Xavier Institute/Mansion has been retired; now the X-Men have relocated to San Francisco, and the city has been declared a haven to all mutants. Yet all is not prefect even in this city that is world-renowned for its tolerance; a new mutant-hating group of scum with ties to the Hellfire Club stalks the mutants of San Fran, at least until they make the mistake of going after one of the X-Men's own.

This chapter in the X-Men saga isn't an epic adventure, but I still enjoyed it quite a bit. It sets the tone for the next era in the X-Men's history quite nicely, and takes the time to highlight a good bit of character development that goes a long way in rekindling the reader's love for old favorites and sparking the flame for new additions. I also found the artwork in this volume to be breathtaking, surely some of the very best seen in the pages of the X-Men, which is saying a lot considering how many outstanding artists have illustrated their stories over the years.
