Who needs super hero movies-they all stink This book, and the last several Iron Man trades are what everyone who liked that piece of crap Iron Man movie should be forced to read. The writing is on an extremely high level as is the art. My only problem with it is a problem I have with several marvel titles at the moment; the rather blatant hatred of black men, who are usually portrayed as incompetents who are undeserving of their positions(affirmative action benefactors) , traitors, or eunuchs. Black males have risen from the street thugs of the 70's to high political or military appointments, only to suffer falls caused by their own ineptness and treachery. Its been a common theme for decades that they must pay with their lives or with their freedom for daring to rise to the rarified air that has always been the exclusive preserve of their betters i.e. white males. This has been a consistent them in popular culture at least since Dr. Daestrom from Star Trek TOS. As I've always said, if the only black males in a particular work are there to be demeaned, then leave us out of it altogether. This appeal, and these arguments have always fallen on deaf and insensitive ears, alas white fantasies of must be validated no matter what the cost. Nick Fury in the Ultimates, Kooning in this work are two of the more recent examples.
