Collects X-Men: Messiah CompleX One-Shot, Uncanny X-Men #492-494, X-Men #205-207, New X-Men #44-46, X-Factor #25-27, and X-Men: Messiah CompleX - Mutant Files.
Good way to sample the "X" titles This contains material from X-men, New X-men, Uncanny X-men, X-factor, and more. So the look and feel of the comic changes every 20 or 30 pages. The story itself is a fast paced action/mystery that's important if you're following the bigger mutant storyline at Marvel. The one I wish I had skipped is Endangered Species, now that was boring!
Death, Destruction, the Future and Great Art X-Men: Messiah Complex provides more mutant thinning of the marvel universe some important some not so important. It provides some answers to some of the x-futures how they come to be. Some cool battles involving the Marauders, x-men, New x-men, and a mutant I won't name and there followers. Not to mention some GREAT, GREAT art. Let me just say how hard it is to write a review with out giving away any of the story. So I'm going to end my review now cuz' I don't want to give away anything.
good book until... this is probably just a problem with my specific book, but there is a 16 page, uh, misprint, i guess, where the pages were copied from a few pages earlier and it replaces the story for those 16 pages. its in chapter 12 or new x-men #46. then it goes right back to the story after that. so i have no idea what happened in those pages with the big fight and how the x-men are suddenly fighting predator x... not cool.
Great reading Nothing groundbreaking. But if you like X-Men then this is a great little page turner.
The opening 1-shot drawn by Silvesrti is pure eyesex.
Awesomeness Talking about mutant-only crossovers, this one takes the cake. Superb story, and good art. The hardcover is worth it, so check it out.
