Great movie, regardless of time The juror is a very good movie, demi moore plays a good role in being a loving mother whose world starts falling apart when she's accepted as part of a jury. Mr Baldwin's performance isnt anything new from him but the character he plays suits him perfectly. A few innocent mistakes in the script make this movie a little less believable in some scenes but overall its very good, I for one enjoyed it very much
The Jury is in, we have a winner. The Juror is a smart, fast paced, thriller with brilliant acting. Baldwin is at his malevolent best. Demi is the concerned mom who turns totally bad a$$. Fun, fast, with a great ending. The only annoyance is Demi's son. That minor gripe aside, I give The Juror five stars. One of the best thrillers Hollyweird has given us. Recommended!!!
Pointless and awful. The Juror starring Demi Moore and Alec Baldwin looked like such an entertaining thriller but this movie is just so stupid. I couldn't believe how dumb the plot and ending was. And who the hell what's to see Anne Heche naked? not me! One of the worst movies I have ever seen, use this one as a coaster.
Terrible
I picked up this movie with the hope of seeing some action and suspense, but was instead subjected to a dark, murky movie with Demi Moore screaming at her kid, and the dark, lifeless face of Mr. Baldwin's character. Don't get me wrong. I respect and admire both Demi and Mr. Baldwin for their roles in other films, but this was not a good move on their part. I cleaned out some junk last weekend, and this movie went with it..Now I'm thinking I should have thrown it out, as I would not want to subject anyone else to this..
I love 'The Juror'! Demi Moore is great as a Bohemian single mom and struggling artist living alone with her 12-year-old son (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) in a converted barn in a country suburb of New York. When she becomes a juror in a murder case against a major Mafia boss, her peaceful life is turned upside down by a sociopathic hitman's (Alec Baldwin) obsession with her. Though she knows the mob boss is guilty, she is bullied into providing a verdict of 'not guilty' under threat of her son being killed. I see that some reviewers are 'yawning' that this story has been done before, but Moore and Baldwin give such fantastic performances that it seems like the first time anything of its kind has been done. The actors accomplish making their characters appear very real. Demi seems like she could be a woman who used to live on your block or who you once worked with, and Baldwin is like the living nightmare psycho you hope you'll never meet! Anne Heche is good as Demi's best friend, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt is believable as the typical sweet kid of someone you might know. It is also a scenic, beautiful movie. Filmed partially in upstate New York in what looks like late May/early June, and in Central America, there's plenty of nice scenery. I think this picture is well worth owning and watching again and again.
