Amazon.com essential video: This imaginative summer comedy from director Barry Sonnenfeld (Get Shorty) is a lot of fun, largely on the strength of Will Smith's engaging performance as the rookie partner of a secret agent (Tommy Lee Jones) assigned to keep tabs on Earth-dwelling extraterrestrials. There's lots of comedy to spare in this bright film, some of the funniest stuff found in the margins of the major action. (A scene with Smith's character being trounced in the distance by a huge alien while Jones questions a witness is a riot.) The inventiveness never lets up, and the cast--including Vincent D'Onofrio doing frighteningly convincing work as an alien occupying a decaying human--hold up their end splendidly. --Tom Keogh
Men In Black If you like this movie and still do not have it in blu ray, then buy it soon. You'll love it even more. The picture and sound are excellent. It's worth spending the extra money. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!
One of the best I've watched the movie many times on my DVD player, always one of our favorites, but now with the Blu-ray even more so. Outstanding PQ, a must for you Blu-ray collectors.
Still Great, but Better I still like this movie just like I did when it was first out, but now with it being in Blu-ray it's even better. The picture is so clear and the sound is amazing. It's crazy what they can do with movies now days.
Great movie. One of a kind. A+++ Very original movie with great special effects. Looks much better in blue ray. I love the pug dog. A lot of people own pugs due to this movie.
Brillant transfer to BluRay Having watched this movie numerous times in the theater and on DVD, I am proud to own the BluRay copy now. I must say they did a BRILLANT job on the transfer. The color is vivid and the sound is truly top notch. Some transfers of older movies aren't that good, but they took their time with this one. The special effects are great but on some scenes you can tell that it is CGI. Minus that the transfer is great.
