Take the night off. My son, three and a half, loves these audio books. He will say, "I want to read Buzz and Woody" before he goes to bed. This is his way of dismissing me and telling me he'll read himself to sleep.
While I love that just-before-bedtime time with my child as much as anybody... this is a welcome change here and there.
Only wish they had more! My daughter is just beginning to read, and loves that she can "read along" with these books! She feels so independent!! I only wish they had more that are appropriate for ages 4-5.
Our kids LOVE this story! Toy Story is a favorite in our home, our kids having watched the movie a gazillion times, so when I discovered this cool audio book I grabbed it before the site sold out. We play the CD in the car, before bed time, or just to pass the time on a rainy day. The kids have the toy characters, Jesse and Woody, so they love acting out the story as it plays. I love that the actors in the movie did the voices for this audio book, so there is continuity in the storytelling vs. what the kids remember from the film. The photos in the book are all from the movie and the shortened version is just the right length to keep their attention. I'd also recommend the Ratatouile Audio Book and CD. These things are great for building the kids' imaginations!
