Tries too hard This books was ... well ... ok. It is a good idea, but it tries too hard to sound like a real survival guide. In so doing, it drags on and on and gets really boring. I love a good zombie spoof, and I enjoyed this book for about 10 minutes.
I also found myself getting frustrated with this book in a nerdy kind of way. There are so many plot flaws in this and contradictions that I found myself arguing with the book. It's a zombie spoof. I should be able to just enjoy it, but it tries too hard to sound legitimate that I have to argue with it.
Zen of Zombie is a much better spoof. A lot more fun to read, and ironically since it is so tongue in cheek, a lot more accurate in its homage to the zombie genre.
While this book was ok, I wouldn't recommend spending your money or time on it.
Excellent desk calendar This goes right along with the 'Zombie Survival Guide' book by Max Brooks. It's a must own for any zombie obsessed person such as myself.
But what is up with the seller selling it for $50 some odd dollars. They are selling this at Books A Million for $3.99
An excellent book Max Brooks manages to not only excel outside of his father's shadow, but he has made a valuable contribution to popular fiction.
zombies!!! love this calendar. my new year's resolution is to pass the knowledge of this calendar on to my good friends. so day-to-day they learn with me, so we will be ready for the zombie outbreak.
Zombies are hot! Zombies are all the rage. And what better than learning how to survive an attack. I don't know why people think zombies are so hot, but they are and anything that has to do with them is hot as well. You'll love this calendar. Buy it!
