Product Description: Follow the second star on your right and fly straight on till morning and you’ll find a place you know from your dreams–Never Land. Past the pirate ships and Peter Pan’s secret hideaway is Pixie Hollow. A great old maple tree grows there, and in it live hundreds of fairies. For, you see, Pixie Hollow is the Never fairies’ kingdom, and each fairy who lives there has a special, extraordinary talent. Tinker Bell loves to fix broken pots and pans. Vidia flies faster than every other fairy. Beck talks–and listens–to animals. Lily can make any flower, tree, or plant grow. Come on a magical journey with Disney Fairies . . . all it takes is faith, trust, and a little pixie dust!
The first four enchanting chapter book stories of Pixie Hollow are available in time for the holidays, boxed together in a lovely set, shrinkwrapped, and packaged with a never-before-available Fairies poster!
Very nice collection I purchased all three boxed sets of Pixie Hollow books for my 6 and 4 year old. They are packaged nicely and the books themselves are perfect for reading before bed, a few chapters each night. Their small paperback size is good for easy reading for them as well. The stories are gentle and sweet with a few pictures interspersed throughout the book but not so many that it seems like a glorified picture book. These are definitely chapter books for younger children to read. They look forward to going to bed just so they can get back to them. I work at a library and checked out just one of the Pixie Hollow books and immediately ordered all three sets from Amazon. They are wonderful to own.
Love Tinkerbell I love these books because they help give more about Tinkerbell, my all time favorite disney character. You have to have an open mind when reading these books, as they are a whole different side of what we have come to know about this little sassy fairy. But my niece and I love to read them together, and these books have helped us create a stronger, more unique bond.
The books in each set - and some info on 'order' Great books! We have been reading these to our kindergartener as bedtime chapter books. She's currently reading at a mid/late 1st grade level. I'm not sure whether she could read these on her own yet (I tend to think the length/complexity might be a bit daunting), but she's been loving having us read them to her.
Because it has taken a LOT of searching for me to figure out exactly which books are in each set (at this point in time, they're not all listed here individually), I thought I'd try to save someone else the trouble:
ETA: It appears (based on publication dates) that Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg 'starts' this series. It is NOT included in any of the box sets. I do know that references to this book are mentioned in at least some of the books in the box sets.
Box Set 1: The Trouble with Tink Vidia and the Fairy Crown Beck and the Great Berry Battle Lily's Pesky Plant
Tales From Pixie Hollow 2: Rani and the Mermaid Lagoon Fira and the Full Moon A Masterpiece for Bess Prilla and the Butterfly Lie
ETA: It also seems that Fairy Haven and the Quest for the Wand fits between box set #2 and box set #3, at least based on publication dates. I don't know if there are references to it in the later books, or how it truly 'fits' in the series yet - I'll try to remember to update when we've read that far!). It also is not included in any of the sets, but is seperate, just like _Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg_ that kicks things off.
Tales From Pixie Hollow Collection #3 Box Set: Tink, North of Neverland Beck Beyond the Sea Dulcie's Taste of Magic Silvermist and the Ladybug Curse
Tales From Pixie Hollow Collection #4, coming out August 25, 2009: Fawn and the Mysterious Trickster Iridessa, Lost at Sea Rosetta's Daring Day Queen Clarion's Secret
Hope that saves someone some time and effort! (and with the 'edits to add' helps others figure out which order they 'should' go in!)
Well Worth Buying Hi, All, if you have any young children, who want to know about tinkerbell, and pixie's, then buy this to read to them at bedtime, there are some good stories, about tink and all her friends, it wood make a good christmas present, for someone, who likes this sort of thing..Tales From Pixie Hollow 4 copy Box Set (Disney Fairies)(Trouble for Tink, Lily's Pesky Plant, Vidia and the Fairy Crown, Beck and the Great Berry Battle)
Daughter loves these books! My daughter recently turned 7 and she can't put these chapter books down. Great books to read over the summer for girls or any child interested in fairy fantasy. Definitely recommend.
