Gotta Love Golden Books! ^ I read this to our son, sadly, after he "out grew" these books, they were passed on. Happily, after searching all over I found these treasures on Amazon and now have a new collection for our beautiful grand daughter to enjoy.
A nice book to read to your children. ^ When it's time to put the kids to bed I highly recommend you read this book "Bambi and the Great Prince of the Forest," a midquel to the beloved story "Bambi." The book is pretty short only being 23 pages long with large print. Because the print is large and pretty easy to read this would be an ideal book for young children to start reading. The book also has very beautiful illustrations to incorporate with the imagination.
The book takes place after Bambi's mother dies and the Great Prince is force to take care of him until winter is over; teaching him the ways of the forest. At first the Great Prince is reluctant but he opens up to him at the end. It has some laughs, action and very touching moments. You also see Bambi's old friends like Thumper, Flower, Friend Owl and his sweet heart Faline. You also see Bambi's rival Ronno who teases and picks on Bambi. After all Bambi has learned from his father he took all that and put it into use by saving his surrogate mother Mena from man.
So if you need a good book to read for your kids then this book would be perfect for you!
Natashua Lucynski Bambi ^ Bambi is the best book ever made so I think. It was written by Bob Grant. My favioret charactor is Thumper because he is very funney and is kind of rude in a very halarios way.
Bambi ^ This is a good book to sit down and read with the little ones especially at bedtime. It has good graphics and content suitable to kids under age 5.
My lovest book ^ I like all the characters in this story but the dearest one is Bambi. When I was little, I asked my mom many times to read the story. Then when I grew up I read it by myself. But I liked it very much because the story is about a baby deer. It's very funny when Thumper thumped. The moment when Bambi met Faline was so touching! When Bambi and Faline were grown up it was their turn to have babies. I warmly recommend the other kids to read this sensitive book.
