the pill book, 13th edition This book is exactly what I expected. Delivery was prompt. I used to purchase each updated edition at CVS pharmacy, but they no longer carry it. Very please to have been able to get it through Amazon.
COULD BE BETTER I BOUGHT THIS TO REPLACE A VERY MUCH OLDER ADDITION. I'M A PHARMACY TECHNICIAN AND LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT SOME MEDICATIONS AS WELL AS GET INFORMATION ON MEDICATIONS I TAKE. THE MAIN REASON I DIDN'T GIVE IT 4 OR 5 STARS IS THAT IT LEAVES OUT MANY OLDER, BUT STILL FREQUENTLY PRESCRIBED MEDICATIONS. THE OTHER THING I DON'T LIKE IS THAT IT LUMPS A LOT OF MEDICATIONS IN THE SAME FAMILY INTO ONE HEADING. THAT MEANS YOU HAVE TO SORT THROUGH ALL OF THE INFORMATION TRYING TO FIND THE THINGS THAT APPLY SPECIFICALLY TO THE MEDICATION YOU WANT INFORMATION ON. FOR EXAMPLE IF YOU WANT INFO ON CIPRO (CIPROFLOXACIN), YOU ALSO HAVE TO WEED THROUGH THE INFORMATION ON FLOXIN, LEVAQUIN AND OTHERS TO FIND THE INFORMATION THAT MAY APPLY ONLY TO CIPRO.
the pill book The pill book is not a comprehensive as the PDR. However, it is easier to reference the particular medication. The index is easier to use and information is more layman understandable. It a GREAT inexpensive pill reference guide.
THE PILL BOX-13TH ED. This is the BEST pill book available! Well written, easy to understand, and with full color pictures of many pills. donbell-half
Useful Medicine Information The latest version of The Pill Book provides relevant and important information for any one taking medicine. It describes the use, side effects if any and even shows a picture of the medicines. Very often doctors don't tell their patients the purpose of medicine prescribed or what effects it will have. Using The Pill Book should make most people more comfortable when taking medicine.
