When I went to Washington I sure didn't expect THIS!
Going to Washington to meet the First Lady was REALLY exciting! In fact, I got so excited that I almost made another big mistake on the Internet. Okay, I DID make a mistake. If it hadn't been for the First Lady, well, I could have been in big, BIG trouble.
You'll find out when you read my story. Then you won't do the same dumb thing I did!

A word to adults
If there's a child in your life who uses the Internet, it's your job to help them keep safe from online predators. Created for the Internet Keep Safe Coalition, Faux Paw--an adventurous, six-toed, Web-surfing cat--is here to help! With a foreword by First Lady Laura Bush, this colorful book and animated movie will give kids wise advice and you a place to start talking to them.
AWESOME!! My boys love this book. It is so fun to have a great way to teach kids about the internet. We use Faux Paw every time we log onto a web site and talk about the importance of being safe. This book made it very easy for my boys to understand what the internet means and what they need to do. I have ordered several more to give away as birthday gifts!!
Cyber-bullying for youngsters My kids love this book and the movie that comes with it. This book was written specifically to be encouraging and entertaining while introducing young children to cyber-bullying. I feel that my children now have specific rules to deal with online bullies. The animated characters are cute and really do the trick to teach younger ages.
An added bonus of the book is the use of the First Lady character which allows for introducing or reviewing our country's top leadership. The First Lady voice in the movie is actually done by First Lady Laura Bush. I think her involvement highlights how important the issue of cyber-bullying is to leaders around the nation. I highly recommend this book.
Light-hearted way to start an important discussion with kids I found this book a lighthearted way to initiate an important discussion with kids about the nature of internet bullying. I was glad that the book didn't enumerate all the ways bullying occurs, but rather it opens a door for discussion with kids about their own experiences. This book stands alone in addressing this issue for children.
Faux Paw Meets the First Lady: How to Handle Cyber-bullying I am a school social worker who proactively addresses the issues of teasing, bullying, and cyberbullying. This book was so diappointing! It is very cumbersome with many superfluous and irrelavent details. The learning center director in our elementary school agreed. I sent this book back...which I have never done.
