Great Easy Read! :) If you're one of those people who really likes vamp/paranormal books this is definitely the book for you. It is a fast, easy read so if you really like the long, drawn out books..this isn't the book for you. As a matter of fact, I wish that this book had been a bit longer. Don't get me wrong...I wasn't disappointed about the ending...it just happened too soon. The love/friendship between the two main characters is very sweet. She is a lonely human teenager, and he is this sad and lonely vampire. Both seem to be completely lost until they find each other. They both even reconcile some of their conflicts with life because they finally feel loved and supported.
I would have given the book a 4 and a half if I could. I read Klause's "Blood and Chocolate" before this book and absolutely loved it. Her writing style was great in "Blood and Chocolate". I hate to say that I was a little disappointed in her writing style in this book though. It didn't seem as mature as her writing style in "Blood and Chocolate". And I also wish the book would have been a bit longer.
All in all, the book was still a joy to read and I definitely recommend it to others. I also agreed with another reviewer's ealier comments "the story is a lot like Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Just a little sweeter and more down to earth (if that's possible when vampires are involved). Happy Reading! :)
