Could have been long novel These 10 novelettes could have been put together into one normal sized novel. Brilliant to sell them separately. They are all very well written and only get better as the series progressed, culminating with this volume (10). Wonderful story...EXTREMELY well written. I was honestly sad to see the series end. I came to like Ferris and the other Jedi immensely. This series could be made into a feature movie easily. hmmmmmm.
highly recommended.
Excellent ending to this series!! This is probably one of the best of this series by Jude Watson and an excellent way to end this series. (Amazon - fix the author's name!)
When I first saw these "little" books published by Scholastic, I didn't really expect much from them. Boy, was I wrong! This has been a terrific series and while I am sorry to see the story line end, Jude Watson wraps up everything and ties it all together with the movie story line that everyone knows even if you don't know about all of the extra books.
A great ending to a great series! I have enjoyed all ten of the Last of the Jedi series. Watson is one of my favorite Star Wars authors. I got Invincible the last of the Legacy of the Force series a little late and have not finished it yet. I had to stop to read this on Tuesday. It Reckoning was much better. In fact the Last of the Jedi series is better than the last two series of full length novels and on par with the New Jedi Order. I would recommend this book to anyone as well as the series. Buy it and enjoy.
On another note I'm begining to believe that Jude Watson is a pseudonym for someone else. The information about Jude is very limited in fact I've never found a picture or even an official website. Either way I will look forward to other books.
A Great Series Comes to a Great Ending A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, two strong-willed powerful boys began training at the Jedi temple and found themselves destined for rivalry. Anakin Skywalker -- destined to become Darth Vader and Ferus Olin, destined to leave the Jedi Order in search of other things. The Jedi Temple is gone now -- the Jedi themselves are all but extinct. The rivalry, however, remains -- for Ferus Olin has learned the truth of Darth Vader and is determined to bring him down. Meanwhile, the quest to bring together a galactic resistance to the Empire continues, but there's a spy in the midst threatening to destroy everything.
We've all been waiting for that final confrontation between Ferus Olin and Darth Vader, and let me just say -- Jude Watson has some surprises in hand! Who will end up where when everything shakes out? You'll have to read to find out, but I guarantee it's going to be a fun ride.
If you've been following "The Last of the Jedi" series, then this is exactly what you've been waiting for. And you haven't yet joined in on the fun, now is the time, as you can now read the full series, from beginning to end. Find out why these novels -- seemingly targeted at kids -- are so much more than they seem on the surface.
Last of the Jedi series This has been the best series. It takes me about a day to whip through these books. I love them, and I really love the Star Wars saga. Jude Watson has a fantastic style of writing, and even though the age group targeted is much (much) younger than I am, it doesn't stop me from total enjoyment. I am never dissatisfied with the plot, character development, or the writing. I would love a longer book...
