Amazon.com Review: Anthony Horowitz's enormously popular series about the worlds premier teenage spy, returns for another round with secret agent Alex Rider fighting ingenious villains and charming every girl he meets. Eagle Strike, Horowitzs fourth fictional foray into the world of British spy agency MI6, starts out calmly enough as Alex and his lovely companion, Miss Sabina Pleasure, vacation with her family in the south of France. But before you can say Goldfinger, Alex spots his old nemesis, renowned assassin Yassen Gregorovich, on the beach. What Alex discovers is a plan so diabolical that it makes all of his previous adventures seem like a stroll in the Queen Mums garden. Alex must fight to keep Gregorovich from executing the plans of a mysterious and murderous madman--an operation code named "Eagle Strike." He will just have to face down a few minor complications first: a virtual reality game that inflicts real pain; a fleet of Porche 911 GT3-driving hit men; and even a near fatal brush with death aboard the most famous aircraft in the world, Air Force One. But hell persevere, or his name isnt Rider: Alex Rider. Eagle Strike, like all of the ridiculously fun Alex Rider adventures, is a pure guilty pleasure from start to finish. Even the most reluctant of readers wont be able to resist Alexs Bond-like ingenuity and charisma. Anthony Horowitz is a master of pacing, and as Alex swings from one cliff-hanging chapter to the next, Horowitz proves that you dont have to be Shakespeare to pen a crackerjack plot! --Jennifer Hubert

Alex Rider Strikes Again ^ As Anthony Horowitz brings the famous teenager spy Alex Rider back for another action packed book, Eagle Strike pulls you off your feet in an exciting thriller that is bound to please any reader. Alex Rider punches, kicks, and blows his way through another fantastic adventure.
Alex Rider, normally employed by M16, the British secret service, now finds himself working for his own sake to find the secret behind the world famous superstar Damian Cray. The story begins in Montpellier in the South of France where Alex stays with his friend Sabina Pleasure for a much needed vacation. But this vacation soon spoils itself when Alex finds his long time rival Yassen Gregorovich, a contract killer. Alex decides not to act, but his return back to the Pleasures' house reveals that he made a fatal mistake.
Alex finds the house bombed and Sabina's father Edward Pleasure seriously injured. Alex knew Yassen was responsible, but Alex has no clue of how or why. But as he walks through the ashes, Alex finds the article Edward Pleasure had been working on about Damian Cray. Alex takes it as a personal responsibility to go after Cray and take his revenge.
It becomes a cat and mouse game. Alex looks for clues about Damian Cray as Cray sends men to kill Alex and get him out of the way. Alex soon finds out that his success in stopping Cray does not just determine his own well being but the fate of the entire world.
Eagle Strike keeps you on your toes the whole way through the story, but it begins to get a little out of hand. Alex is fourteen years old, and he seems to have none of the boyish qualities that any teenager has during those years of childhood. Alex seems like a full grown man by his level of maturity, his perfectly built body, and his amazing coordination. He seems to have innate abilities to do almost anything with incredible skill, including surfing twenty foot waves and biking incredibly fast speeds. It does not seem real. However, Horowitz takes these traits of Alex Rider and runs with them. The beauty with Eagle Strike is that you become convinced that it does not have to be real, and that is what sparks your imagination and takes Eagle Strike to the next level.
Eagle Strike pulls you through a satisfying plot that has many twists and turns, but Alex Rider guides you through it with the grace of any James Bond.
Bike chases are better than Car chases! ^ This is my favorite Alex Rider novel! As Alex finds himself on his own, fighting a villain of almost infinite resources, the full extent of his skills become apparent. At one point in time, he travels across Europe and leads a bike chase through Amsterdam. My only complaint is that Sabina Pleasure is far too present.
ATHONY HOROWITZ BY A KID WHO IS THE BOMB ^ Anthony Horowitz has written three Alex Rider books. Now he has a fourth! Alex is still 14 years old, and is on a spy mission. A famous actor Damian Cray is making a video game that is too realistic. He also has a top secret document, titled Eagle Strike, that could destroy the world. This is my favorite book of this series so far. It is action packed with mind blowing events. I also really like this book because Alex learns a lot about his past. I recommend this book and series for readers who like action.
Saving the world is just great! ^ What does it feel like to save the world? If you don't know, read the Alex Rider series, by Anthony Horowitz. In particular, Eagle Strike. I gave it a five star rating. It was my favorite book. It had a lot of action in almost every chapter. It kept me occupied. The book was about Alex Rider, a teen spy. He does missions to help the world and find out about the death of some of his family members. His mission this time is to investigate pop star Damion Cray, and stop him from partially destructing the earth with nuclear bombs. The problem is, Alex's spy group doesn't believe that this will happen. Will Alex be a success? He doesn't know what he will be in for. Also, this book and the entire series is realistic fiction.
I thought this was a great book. I liked the ideas put in the story. I liked how Mr. Cray combined war, music, and video games into a real life experience. I also liked how realistic it was. I imagined what it would be like to save the world. For Alex, it's cool, and scary. He has many allies that adore him and rely on him to help the world, and he also has enemies who think he's doing a horrible job and want him to be murdered immediately.
In conclusion, Eagle Strike was a great book. The characters were cool and they showed the meaning of the book. I'd recommend it to middle school students or people of that age. Otherwise, many people can enjoy it. I enjoyed it, and you can, too.

Incredible, spectacular, amazing, awesome book as per my son ^ My son absolutely loved this book and here is his comment- "I am in third grade and this book is one of the best books I have ever read. When I read it I was totally absorbed in the interesting novel. My parents told me to read a chapter a day but I allowed my self to go ahead and read over three chapters a day.In a matter of days I finished the entire book. The book also has a preview of the next book Scorpia." I will get all the books of this author for him.
