Highly unorthodox questions and answers about life after life from America's most delightful medium
Concetta Bertoldi has been communicating with the "Other Side" since childhood. In her previous book, the bestselling Do Dead People Watch You Shower?, she addressed questions about the afterlife that ranged from the poignant to the provocative. Now she returns with Do Dead People Walk Their Dogs?, a second volume of intriguing observations about our beloved deceased. Moving, funny, and fascinating, it will open your eyes to what really comes after life—while offering intimate insights into Concetta's own astonishing life and what her gift has meant to her marriage, her friendships, and the path she was destined to take.
Wasted my money! ^ I'm a fool. I read her first book and wrote a negative review on it. Yet still, in the quest for some kind of profound answer to the mystery of our existence, I purchased this one. The author is just too giddy for me, and the questions lack depth. So tired of these mediums who want to sell themselves. I wish they would step aside and just let the information flow without the "This is me!" input. I tried to read this thing, but find it just too much of a waste of time. Maybe I'll give it another shot and just flip through it hunting questions that may have some relevance to me. It seems that except for a few really powerful mediums (Van Praagh being one)this plethora of New Age revelations is petering out. There hasn't been any really new information for awhile, and I'm so sick of hearing about reincarnation and always harking back to some past life. I'm 65, and hoping to "shuffle off this mortal coil" sooner rather than later. The idea that I will have to come back and as a two year old learn to tie my shoes yet AGAIN holds no appeal for me. Quelle monotony!
For an intelligent perspective on this whole subject see the Comment to the review entitled "A very complex topic - a kid's review."
Excellent, light read ^ I love Concetta's style of writing. She is very personal with her own life and yet too the point. If you are looking for a good introduction as to how a medium works and some good spiritual insights, this one is for you.
Liked the First Better ^ I'm not saying this is a bad book, but I felt the first one, "Do Dead People Watch You Shower" was more satisfying. I like the format, but I guess the questions weren't the ones I wanted answers to.
If you enjoy reading about the other side, you'll probably like it. But I'd recommend getting it from the library.
Interesting Read ^ This is an interesting read and an easy read. Who really knows what's on the other side or if we can really connect with them. But it's fun to ponder over these things and wonder what if. I would use the info in this book much like I would use my horoscope.
A Very Complex Topic ^ My mom found this at the library and said it looked like something I'd like, since I've always been curious about the spiritual side of our world, and an actual ghost lives in my house, though we deem him as a good guy.
It was totally engrossing; I had never heard of her or the first book until I found this one, and I'd like to get my hands on the other one as well.
First of all, it's a very interesting topic. Technically, as a Christian, I'm not supposed to have anything to do with books like these, but I pushed that aside when I devoured this book in less than a day. Some of the questions were boring, so I skipped to the best ones, and I have to say, this book literally is changing me.
I can't say she made me a believer, since I already believe in God, but the things she confirmed sorta haunt me: like pets do go to heaven, there's no food there, if you kill someone the gate is locked to you, and, basically, that there is indeed a world of perfection for us after we die.
It was a very easy, humorous read. The author has got a great personality, and I enjoyed most of it.
But it disturbed me as well. I mean, she talked as if reincarnation was real. Is it? That scares me, because really I just want to die and go to heaven forever, not be reborn. It brings up terrifying questions about who I am, how many times I've died, if I've married by brother's soul in a past life... and it's all so complicated and confusing. Everyone else seemed to miss this, because no one else mentioned this. Please, please, please, someone comment and try to explain to me, because this is truly frightening me.
