| 1. Time Bandits |
| Starring: Sean Connery, Shelley Duvall, John Cleese, Katherine Helmond, Ian Holm Directed By: Terry Gilliam May 11, 1999
I like that line. I use it on people I know. Well, anyway, I decided to sit down and watch this film today to see if it's worthy of a re-purchase in the future, in the Blu-Ray format. If I didn't watch it today, I would have probably made the mistake of just going ahead and buying it again because I like films of the Sci-Fi fantasy genre. But, as movies get older and older, and we've watched them... more

| | 4. The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (20th Anniversary Edition) |
| Starring: John Neville, Eric Idle, Sarah Polley, Oliver Reed, Charles McKeown Directed By: Terry Gilliam April 08, 2008
"The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" is a one-of-a-kind movie. It has incredible film quality, amazing actors, action, comedy, fantasy, all in one. It also has some of the most amazing film sets ever shot. Robin Williams is so funny as the "moon king", he almost steals the show, but not quite, since the movie is so good, he's just a piece of this creative, grand, delightful epic tale. It has a magic... more

| Starring: Robert Urich, Mary Crosby, Michael D. Roberts, Anjelica Huston, John Matuszak Directed By: Stewart Raffill February 15, 2005
So bad it's good (in the right situation) I watched it once then put it in the family white elephant trade off. I got one of those barrels of different flavored popcorn for it! About equal in my view... more

| | 7. The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension |
| Starring: Peter Weller, Ellen Barkin, Jeff Goldblum, Robert Ito, James Keane Directed By: W. D. Richter January 01, 2002
Buckaroo, for anyone who has never seen it is a flip of the coin. You either get it (though you'll never get it all), or you don't. You either will love this movie, or you'll loath it. For me it's a rare bit of sci-fi that I love to get lost in each time I watch it. Confusing? yes. This movie will make you think. Buckaroo is the father & originator of the term "multi-tasker". So try it on, see... more

| | 8. Tron (20th Anniversary Collector's Edition) |
| Starring: Jeff Bridges, Bruce Boxleitner, Roger Allers, Billy Crystal, Harrison Ellenshaw Directed By: Steven Lisberger, Robert Meyer Burnett January 15, 2002
TRON is one of my all time favorite films. This 20th Aniviversary Edition is awesome. It is packed with extras for you folks who, like myself, are into the conceptual/behind the camera element of film making. The image quality is very good, no complaint really. Some film grain is visible but nothing distracting.
The trailer for the upcoming sequel, TRON: Legacy([...]) made me bust out... more

| | 9. Jabberwocky |
| Starring: Michael Palin, Harry H. Corbett, John Le Mesurier, Warren Mitchell, Max Wall Directed By: Terry Gilliam October 23, 2001
There is subtle male and explicit female nudity in this film. The PG rating is an anachronism of the time before there was a PG-13 rating. This film does not have extensive bad language, but there are some gruesome scenes depicting violence. That being said, the nudity would have to be shortened to receive a PG-13 rating today. I have no problem with these aspects, and would call it a good film overall!... more

| | 10. Brazil |
| Starring: Jonathan Pryce, Kim Greist, Robert De Niro, Katherine Helmond, Ian Holm Directed By: Terry Gilliam March 31, 1998
Brazil was originally released in two versions: the 142 minute European theatrical cut, and the 131 minute American theatrical cut. Terry Gilliam approved both. Then there was the 94 minute "Love Conquers All" version shown on American television, which everyone agrees is dreadful. Brazil is one of my favorite films. I've seen the 131 minute cut about ten times, and the Criterion "director's cut"... more
