I bought seasons three and four as Christmas gifts this past year. The viewing quality was excellent. The flipping of discs, however, and the flimsy packaging was a bit disappointing.
All in all, however, I was satisfied with this purchase.

As with most of the other reviews, the two-sided disc format and flimsy packaging is a downside. However, the viewing quality was perfect. So you have to get up, open your DVD player and physically flip the DVD to view the other episodes.

It was VERY refreshing to see NYPD Blue, Season One again, but this time in its entirety. After throwing myself into a CSI: Miami binge recently, it was great to see David Caruso (and the rest of the incredible cast of NYPD Blue of course) in a role that etched itself deeply into my brain, and made me want to revisit the excitement and intensity that made the show worth watching again and again and... more

We just tried to watch the 6th and final dvd of the NYPD Blue, Season 2 set we purchased. The dvd makes a loud humming sound that gets louder as it plays - though it does play, the noise is too distracting to keep playing. Other than that, the rest play fine... more

Fans of Hill Street Blues will not be disappointed. Hill Street shows the gritty day to day life of the inner city in the early 80's. Its not a video like special effects police show like many are today. The ensemble cast creates many sub-plots which take the show in different directions and create a fast moving show. Having just finished viewing season 4 I'm ready for the next. So I'll add my voice to those have gone before. Where in the world are the follow on seasons of this excellent series. I'd personally rank it a close second to West Wing, which may be my all time favorite, and that's been out for years.
