Starring: Joel Hodgson, Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy, Bill Corbett Directed By: Kevin Murphy March 16, 2010
From its humble beginning on KTMA Minneapolis to its final incarnation on the Sci-Fi channel, MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000 spent ten years teaching us how to enjoy the worst Hollywood has to offer. Unfortunately, after its cancellation by the Sci-Fi channel, MST3K episodes became harder and harder to find. Boxed sets containing four shows each began being released, but it wasn't until the release of... more

Starring: Mike Nelson, Joel Hodgson, Kevin Murphy Directed By: Kevin Murphy December 01, 2009
The Corpse Vanishes is my favorite on this set. Bela Lugosi is featured and it is a real treat to watch the boys riff on this one. Solid host segments and the inclusion of commando cody is fantastic. This really early episode (105) is a treat to watch and is a must if you are a newer fan who has never seen earlier episodes. Nice to see Dr. Laurence "Larry" Erhardt (Josh "J. Elvis" Weinstein - original... more

| 3. Mystery Science Theater 3000, Vol. XV (The Robot vs. the Aztec Mummy / The Girl in Lovers Lane / Zombie Nightmare / Racket Girls) |
|
Starring: Joel Hodgson, Mike Nelson, Trace Beaulieu Directed By: Kevin Murphy July 07, 2009
While not essential MST3K, this is a nice set of mostly B&W movies featuring one stand-out episode and a good collection of the show's history.
I have to admit that I usually enjoy the color films of the 70's, 80's & 90's, but this still manages to be an enjoyable collection of episodes.
1) The Robot vs. The Aztec Mummy is episode 2 of the show's run on cable and it shows... more

that line from "First Spaceship on Venus" made me giggle because my last name is Stuckey. I streamed these four movies online so I did not get to watch any special features, including the 2008 cast reunion at ComicCon :( The four movies in this collection are all SUPER-cheesy flicks given the MSTie treatment. Werewolf is the kind of movie that after about 2 minutes you would walk out of in a theater...bad... more

| 5. The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection - The Essentials (Manos, the Hands of Fate / Santa Claus Conquers the Martians) |
|
Starring: Joel Hodgson, Michael J. Nelson, Trace Beaulieu, Kevin Murphy, John Call Directed By: Harold P. Warren, Nicholas Webster August 31, 2004
Mystery Science Theater is at its finest when making fun of the worst movies in existence. Manos, the Hands of Fate is the most horrific movie ever witnessed by mankind- which makes the quips even better! Overall, a slightly masochistic viewing experience, incorporating watching a bad movie yet actually enjoying it... more

Starring: Trace Beaulieu, Michael J. Nelson, Jim Mallon, Kevin Murphy, John Brady Directed By: Jim Mallon May 06, 2008
I grew up watching MST3K and loved it! So when my dad saw that they had a movie when we were at blockbuster (back when people rented VHS), we rented it. I really liked it, but missed all of the inside jokes that Mike and the bots typically use. Don't get me wrong, there were parts that were hysterical, but the host segments were mediocre at best, and the movie that they were subjected to wasn't... more

| 7. The Mystery Science Theater 3000 Collection, Vol. 1 (Bloodlust / Catalina Caper / The Creeping Terror / Skydivers) |
|
Starring: Joel Hodgson, Mike Nelson November 12, 2002
Let me get this out of the way. I'm a Mike guy. I find all the Mike episodes hilarious, but I can't stand Joel Hodgeson. The guy seemed constantly baked or at least half asleep the whole time and I don't find prop comedy funny (Carrot Top anyone?). That said the Mike episodes rank amongst the best of the Comedy Central era. "The Creeping Terror" is almost hilarious enough on it's own with arguably... more

|
Starring: Mystery Science Theater 3000, Jack Palance, Peter Lawford February 11, 2003
This is the nineth MST3K DVD box set that I have gotten. It contains three episodes. All of them are from the Comedy Central-era of the show. Unlike the first volume, this set contains only three entire episodes. The fourth disk in the set is packed with shorts from different seasons of MST3K. This set, like the first one, has moving parts on the front of it. The only problem that I had with the one... more

while previewing some of these on you tube and Google video i knew i had to get this set. although only two of them really stand out to me, the others are quite odd/boring "Odd" being 'Merlin's shop of mystical wonders' and "boring" being Boggy creek and the legend? (right) continues.. not that it's bad it's just not that good there are some that are not even watchable Manos comes to mind. Merlin's... more

First of all, for everyone who keeps complaining that reviews/ratings of this Amazon.com product shouldn't consider packaging and should only be about the episodes themselves: shut up. Of course we're all buying the product because we KNOW we like the show. Hardcore fans have already seen all the episodes, so it's not JUST about rating the episodes; it's also about the treatment our beloved episodes... more
