I had my doubts about watching this series originally, as I thoroughly detested the original movie of the same name, but five minutes into the first episode, and I was hooked. Buffy starts the fifth season off with a decent series starter but not the best by far, as you go through the season you find out Buffy has a "sister" Dawn, and you meet Glory the Big Bad of season 5, my only real beef with this season is some of the stand alones weren't that great, and Spike got on my nerves at times. I liked this season, but I felt like the "big bad" never really got big enough, (as when compared with the big bads of seasons past). Adam had potential, but I think they waited until too late to introduce him. However, as far as individual episodes went, I think this season did very well. It had several clear themes and new points of growth for the main characters that built nicely on from past... more

I got this movie cause I saw the TV show and I wanted to see what the movie was like. This movie is not that great and if it were not for the TV series, it would probably fall off the face of the planet. Do yourself a favor and just try to rent it from somewhere.

I am a avid Buffy fan since day one- when i saw season 7 I thought the same thing as when I saw season 5 + 6- little iffy then-------- LOVE IT. Joss is a fn genius. The cast grows up- I think fans get stuck in the past and don't want to accept a dif. buffy/Xan/wil etc. I think N.F (Caleb) does a remarkable job- a new generation 'mayor'- and 'Lies mY Parents told mE' is one of the best Es EVER. -... more

I loved the Paley Fest with the Buffy cast. If you are a Buffy fan and if you are a Sarah Michelle Gellar fan especially then you should get this. Sarah Michelle Gellar wasn't always on every panel discussion so this is a treat to get her view on being on the show and her behind the scenes observations.
