| Starring: Andy Griffith, Ron Howard, Don Knotts, Frances Bavier, Amzie Strickland Directed By: Aaron Ruben, Alan Rafkin, Coby Ruskin, Gene Nelson, Howard Morris February 14, 2006
Most fans of the series will tell you this show started downhill in season 6 when the episodes went from black and white to color. I would argue that the decline started in season five. I think the main reason is the start of the spin-off series Gomer Pyle, USMC which is where a lot of behind the scenes people ended up. I would guess that the producers felt that the Griffith show was established... more

Watching this has been so much fun! I watched them all as a kid, and watching them again is a hoot. It was a good show, mostly because it never took itself entirely seriously. It had some excellent people - especially David McCallum looking about 17 years old. And there are gems like the episode with both Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner. ... more

| | 5. Soggy Bottom U.S.A. |
| Starring: Ben Johnson, Dub Taylor, Ann Wedgeworth, Lois Nettleton, Don Johnson Directed By: Theodore J. Flicker July 12, 2005
Super fun-filled movie depicting a thirties raccoon hunt of that era. It has speed boats, air boats, old jalopies, horses, coon dogs, loopy characters, but is definitely not politically correct. Have a howling good time at the antics of good folks like Ben Johnson, Don Johnson, Jack Elam among many other well known character actors. ... more

| | 6. The President's Analyst |

Campy and Clever.
James Coburn experiencing more mind-bending action as a normal citizen caught up in international intrigue than at any time as an over-active pseudo-spy.
What a ride for a normal guy!
Great supporting cast. ... more

This is a great detective series from the 1970's. I remember watching the originals on TV as a kid like it was yesterday. It features an insurance investigator named Banacek (pronounced Banacheck). The series may seem a little dated at times, but overall it has held up well. And how about those great Polish proverbs?
Some have criticized the series for having story lines that were just... more
