| 1. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas [Blu-ray] |
| Starring: Johnny Depp, Benicio Del Toro, Tobey Maguire, Ellen Barkin, Gary Busey Directed By: Terry Gilliam February 02, 2010
I have been a Hunter Thompson reader and fan for years. I saw this film when it was released in the local cinema and fell in love with it. The entire movie is a masterpiece and will not disappoint if you are in any way shape or form a fan of Hunter's writing. The movie pays an honest and humble homage to the book. Hunter's writing was extremely visual to begin with and therefore a challenge to... more

| Starring: Johnny Depp, Benicio Del Toro, Tobey Maguire, Ellen Barkin, Gary Busey Directed By: Terry Gilliam November 17, 1998
I don't know what prompted Jeff's review? If he knew anything at all about Hunter's book it seems he would have passed this movie over, if what he wrote is really how he feels. In other words if he read even some of the book, he would have had a pretty good idea what he was in for before committing to the movie. Anyway, this movie is great and a must see if you appreciate, or just wish to look... more

| | 3. Time Bandits |
| Starring: Sean Connery, Shelley Duvall, John Cleese, Katherine Helmond, Ian Holm Directed By: Terry Gilliam May 11, 1999
I like that line. I use it on people I know. Well, anyway, I decided to sit down and watch this film today to see if it's worthy of a re-purchase in the future, in the Blu-Ray format. If I didn't watch it today, I would have probably made the mistake of just going ahead and buying it again because I like films of the Sci-Fi fantasy genre. But, as movies get older and older, and we've watched them... more

| | 5. The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (20th Anniversary Edition) |
| Starring: John Neville, Eric Idle, Sarah Polley, Oliver Reed, Charles McKeown Directed By: Terry Gilliam April 08, 2008
"The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" is a one-of-a-kind movie. It has incredible film quality, amazing actors, action, comedy, fantasy, all in one. It also has some of the most amazing film sets ever shot. Robin Williams is so funny as the "moon king", he almost steals the show, but not quite, since the movie is so good, he's just a piece of this creative, grand, delightful epic tale. It has a magic... more

This was a delightful surprise of a film. Filled with fairy tale characters coming to life, it's a dark yet funny story that's deftly handled. I loved the climax, the story and movie definitely delivered!... more

I really wanted to like this movie but I couldn't even finish it watching it. While I found what I did see to be rather trippy it was, to me anyway, really boring. I liked all the characters, at least the ones that were living through the movie, and enjoyed the scenery but the movie itself just dragged. Maybe it got better as it went on based on the reviews calling it brilliant but after about a... more
