| 1. The X-Files - The Complete Third Season (Slim Set) |
| Starring: David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Charles Cioffi, Cliff De Young, Sarah Koskoff Directed By: Robert Mandel January 31, 2006
I must say that the first season gets off to a bit of a slow start. I have never gone back and watched a series and failed to see kinks needing to be worked out in the actors portrayal of the characters, i.e. Spock's goofy (at times) acting in the pilot episode of Star Trek. What I have noticed as I have revisited the series is that the clumsiness of Duchnovy is just about done after the first episode... more

I am completely dissatisfied with your vendors. As you originally show I ordered this during the first week of January and never received it. I inquired with the company through you site and never got an email back however I finally determined that they returned my money for some reason but still never got a response from them. Then I ordered it through another vender and it was supposedly shipped... more

| | 3. School Ties |
| Starring: Brendan Fraser, Matt Damon, Chris O'Donnell, Randall Batinkoff, Andrew Lowery Directed By: Robert Mandel June 29, 1999
Any fans of Ben Afflack, Matt Damon, Chris O'Donnell or Brendan Frazier should enjoy this gem which was made before anyone had heard of any of them.
It is a sharp view of a world that was and hints into what still is.
AND as adorable as Matt Damon is, isn't it fun to see him in the part of a really bad guy?
Margo Arrowsmith... more

| | 4. F/X |
| Starring: Bryan Brown, Brian Dennehy, Diane Venora, Cliff De Young, Mason Adams Directed By: Robert Mandel June 13, 2000
This movie rates 6 stars, however the DVD release is only rated at 1 star, so the average is 3. I really hate to say this, but MGM should be ashamed to release a DVD of this poor grade. A movie of this caliber deserves much better.
In 1998 Orion Pictures was going through some tough times when MGM decided to buy them. So, this truly historic film wasn't release on DVD till the year 2000... more

| | 5. The Substitute/The Substitute 3: Winner Takes All |
| Starring: Tom Berenger, Treat Williams, David Jensen, Barbara Jane Reams, Brian Simpson Directed By: Robert Mandel, Robert Radler October 23, 2001
Overall, I was impressed with the outcome/plot of this movie. It's not the best of movies, but it's certainly worth watching. There are occassional twists and turns with the plot and definitely some things that you have to keep an eye on. If you want to know what it's like to be a substitute teacher, be rest assured that it won't be as worse as it is in the movie. But all in all, it's a great movie... more

| | 7. The Talented Mr. Ripley / School Ties (Double Feature) |
| Starring: Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law, Brendan Fraser, Cate Blanchett Directed By: Anthony Minghella, Robert Mandel February 05, 2008
This is a beautifully crafted movie with fine acting, directing, cinematography, and an artful script. The Italian locations are beautiful and striking. In its own realm of cinema, it is a superb production. What interests me most, though, is how the film differs from Patricia Highsmith's fine novel. The film medium should not slavishly follow another art form, the novel, but should it veer... more
