| 1. The Politician |
|
By: Andrew Young Publisher: St. Martin's Paperbacks August 31, 2010
This book kept my interest, and of course I was disappointed when I read about the scandal that caused John Edwards to lose his candidacy for the presidency. I never thought he was sincere and it's a shame for him and his family that his political career had to end this way. This shows me even more how hard it is to trust any candidate. The power and adoration they receive does something to a politician... more

By: Dr. Arthur Agatston MD, Joseph Signorile PhD Publisher: St. Martin's Paperbacks December 29, 2009

By: Lora Leigh Publisher: St. Martin's Paperbacks March 02, 2010
I think E Houstons review nails it. the problems I had with this story was that I never quite understood if I was missing something. I have the paper copy and read the prologue and this still came across as vague in so many places that I never quite sunk into the nirvana I usually get when reading a good romance or like with many of the other Leigh romances. The terrorist plot, the lack of answers... more

Finger Lickin' Fifteen (Stephanie Plum Novels)
Okay... it's really hard to keep up the pace even for someone like Stephanie. Eventually you learn all the lessons you were meant to learn. I roared through 2, 3 and 4. Loved 5 and 6. Anyone have an all-time favorite? I can't remember which one it was, but Stephanie used Ranger's apartment as a hideout. Help me here. My salute to Stephanie... more

By: Christine Warren Publisher: St. Martin's Paperbacks March 02, 2010
I have read all of Christine Warren's books. I was anxiously awaiting her new book. Usually I read her books in one sitting. This book was bad. I can't get past the first chapter. Give me the old books, You're so Vein or the Big Bad Wolf. They were really some great books. Bring back the old characters like Graham Winters or Dima or Misha. I guess I should never have started The Black Dagger... more

By: Dr. Arthur Agatston MD Publisher: St. Martin's Paperbacks April 19, 2005
this diet is easy to follow because it never leaves you hungry! I am losing weight and staying satisfied. It's about learning to eat healthy. The "rules" are simple, although it can take several weeks to work out the kinks as you adjust to this new way of eating. I have more energy than ever, am not hungry and never feel deprived.
I do, however wish the book was just a little more... more

|
By: Janet Evanovich Publisher: St. Martin's Paperbacks June 23, 2009
This is probably the worst book of the series. After reading the first 12, I so excited to delve further into Stephanie's crazy life, her mixed feelings for both men in her life and the further development of Ranger's charcter. However 14 was dull, boring and absurd. Joe and Stephanie were bascially living together and we read about Joe cooking, Stephanie changing sheets, and both of them taking turns... more

| 10. "B" is for Burglar (The Kinsey Millhone Alphabet Mysteries) |
|
By: Sue Grafton Publisher: St. Martin's Paperbacks November 29, 2005
The second novel in Sue Grafton's Kinsey Millhone series, 'B' is for Burglar is a great improvement over the first book. Kinsey is hired to find the estranged sister of her client, but when the disappearance suggests murder her client balks and stops the investigation. The missing woman's elderly neighbor, however, becomes delightfully involved in the investigation, and rehires Kinsey to find... more
