| 2. Winning With Accountability: The Secret Language of High Performing Organizations |
|
By: Henry J. Evans Publisher: CornerStone Leadership Institute October 13, 2008
As President and COO of a manufacturing company and CEO of several companies previously, I wish I had had this remarkable book long ago. What is most impressive is how the employees here enthusiastically embrace the utilization of the four pieces of the accountability puzzle. They now feel empowered to hold themselves and their colleagues accountable for getting it done right the first time. Internal... more

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Monday Morning Leadership for Women with its perceptive advise on how women can successfully lead in business.
It was an easy read and is a great reference guide for future use. It is a great addition to my leadership library. As an instructor in a leadership program, I have implemented many of the techniques provided in this book in my own curriculum. ... more

| 4. Lessons in Loyalty: How Southwest Airlines Does It - An Insider's View |
|
By: Lorraine Grubbs-West Publisher: CornerStone Leadership Institute August 01, 2005
There are better books about the inner workings of Southwest out there. This book is light in new information. Perhaps page count isn't the best way to judge a book but this book is thin, the font is big and spacing generous. It's like a high school paper where the student played with the format tools in order to meet the required page count.
It reads as if this is more of a summary... more

| 5. Monday Morning Communications |
|
By: David Cottrell, Tony Jeary, George Lowe Publisher: CornerStone Leadership Institute 2005-05
With communication being such a broad subject, the author(s) does a great job trying to cover a lot of different angles. It's also presented in a way where anybody can take the information and apply it to there own job. The book gives some real good presentation tips as well... more

| 9. Monday Morning Customer Service |
|
By: David Reed, David Cottrell Publisher: Cornerstone Leadership Institute 2004-02
I like this book for several reasons.
First, it's a neat format. By using a novel format Reed and Cottrell help deliver useful advice in a fun and readable way.
Second, it's realistic. Their advice is solid and practical, the kind of stuff you can use right away.
Third, they offer lists. I'm a big fan of lists because they help make sense of a cluttered world... more

| 10. Orchestrating Attitude: Getting the Best from Yourself and Others |
|
By: Lee J. Colan Publisher: CornerStone Leadership Institute 2005-04
Author Lee J. Colan's purpose is to provide a guideline for a positive attitude. This book is short, with the material beginning on page 9 and ending on page 58, and easy to read. I think it is easy to write extensively about having a positive attitude, but it may be more effective to focus on a positive attitude in reinforcing sound bites, which is Colan's approach.
Central to the focus... more
