First up I don't own book #1 so I can't comment on how much of the information in this book is rehashed.
This book is great if you want to learn to basics of drawing line art. It covers a lot of the theory behind creating great characters, such as using construction lines to ensure your characters anatomy is right. As for the price tag, well, I paid several thousand dollars in course... more

this book by wizard really got me into new stuff, thinks like coloring by Greg Horn or setting mood by Mike Mignola; However, most of the topics just scratch the surface, they give you something but not all -hey! it's a start,and if you're drawing this book will help you or at least inspire you! ... more
