| 1. The Book: Playing the Percentages in Baseball |
| By: Tom M. Tango, Mitchel Lichtman, Andrew Dolphin Publisher: Potomac Books Inc. March 10, 2007
This book picks up where so many others (Baseball Between The Numbers, The Hidden Game of Baseball, Moneyball, etc.) have left off. It provides an insightful look at the game not just with new stats and numbers, but by numerically evaluating game management decisions. I'd highly recommend this for anyone looking to expand their knowledge of the game of baseball!... more

Realizing Freedom: Libertarian Theory, History, and Practice will be an outstanding addition to every scholar of liberty's list of classical texts. The book gives a deep picture of what freedom means, and shows how libertarian radical ideas are in many ways far more engaged, functional, and reasonable in their approach to today's issues than conventional wisdom suggests.

| By: Marv Wolfman, Steve Englehart, David Kraft, Gene Colan, Tom Palmer, Virgilio Redondo Publisher: Marvel Books December 16, 2009
When the comics code relaxed its standards in the early 1970s to once again allow horror comics Marvel jumped right out of the gate with Tomb of Dracula. The book quickly settled in with Marv Wolfman writing, Gene Colan penciling, and Tom Palmer inking. Here in the second omnibus they hit on all cylinders producing what many believe to be Marvel's best book of the decade.

The artwork by Dave Cockrum is amazing and writer Chris Claremont does a good job with the stories. Ms. Marvel's first costume (the one you see on the cover) is tres-chic and I don't know how she managed to fight evil in that outfit but somehow she did it! I hope these get reprinted in color... more

| By: Gerry Conway, Archie Goodwin, Gardner F. Fox, Marv Wolfman, Chris Claremont, David Kraft Publisher: Marvel Comics November 26, 2008
Many whine about getting this book with bad glue binding, but my copy is great and will probably outlast me. If you were a fan of the 1970's horror comic TOMB OF DRACULA, buy this! I basically bought this elsewhere because of the price being too high at Amazon. Bought it for $50.00 brand new! Great! The stories can get a bit repetitive and so I read it in about a week's time. First appearance... more
