The story is set in the book 6 time frame, not a problem as I would love to find out more about many of the well drawn characters that populate the Dark Hunter universe. After having read some of Kenyon's other books, I now know that her stuff can range from "really good" to "ugh, why bother". I was kind of a little afraid to pick up another one of her books after the last one of hers that I'd read (the one about the whiny reporter), but I did anyway because I'd liked her earlier stuff so much. Night Pleasures was the first book I read of Sherrilyn Kenyon's. I read it 5 times in a row and have since purchased the entire set of Dark-Hunter and Dream-Hunter novels. I've read them all and now have started reading them in order. I never thought I'd find a series I'd love more than the Sookie Stackhouse novels or the Twilight series but I have to say these have them beat... more

I started this series with book 3 and was pleasantly surprised. I just loved it. Sunshine and Talon - what a couple. I found this book enjoyable and easy to read. I will begin this review with a little demographics information. According to an American Demographics journal article in July 2003:
"The average woman is 5'4" tall, weighs 145 lbs. with a dress size of 11 to 14, has a 36-37" bust, is about 29" around the waist and close to 40" around the hips".

After reading so many of these books to get to Acheron and this is who you pair him with? Tori has to be the lamest character I have read in my life let alone the ONE that you pair with Acheron.
