| 1. How to Draw Those Bodacious Bad Babes of Comics |
|
By: Frank McLaughlin, Mike Gold Publisher: Renaissance Books 2000-02
you will most definitely, never ever EVER know how to draw those bodacious babes of comics after studying this book! the drawings are god-awful and the "lesson plan" has more holes in it than Robert Davi's face (haha!!) all of the advice is weird and really useless, like telling you draw beautiful women for like four hours a day and fill "sketchbooks full of drawings of hands". so does... more

| 3. The Greatest 1950s Stories Ever Told |
|
From: DC Comics Publisher: DC Comics 1990-10

Then, for some reason I'm not privy to, the line was dumped. Maybe DC felt they were giving readers too good of a deal, and I can believe it, each book costing about $15 for ~300 pages of great... more

| 6. The Greatest Batman stories ever told |
|
From: DC Comics Publisher: DC Comics 1988
This collection of Batman comics includes stories that are taken from many of the earlier eras, right from the beginning of his dark avenging days, to the lighter, more fun 60, and the reinvention by O'Neill, Adams and Aparo in the 70s. The days when he was 'a hairy chested love god' as Grant Morrison put it so amusingly recently.
Blockbuster, Manbat, and Bat-Mite can... more

After reading all the reviews on amazon I decided to buy this book as a book I would use to transition from VB6 to C#. This book sounded perfectly pitched for this. With excellent reviews I decided to buy this book. I have now decided that the reviews on amazon are rigged. Either the publisher or author is paying people to write excellent reviews. There is no way this is due to the value of this... more
