| | 2. Essential Moon Knight, Vol. 1 (Marvel Essentials) |
| By: Doug Moench, Bill Mantlo, Steven Grant Publisher: Marvel Comics March 15, 2006
Moon Knight is an awesome character. He has so many dimensions and a lot of potential. The writers however seemed intent on not utilizing this potential as well as they could have. As I read each issue I wrote little mini-reviews of them and my thoughts on them. I also addressed things about the series as a whole that annoy me. It might sound like I hate it but while some of it is just plain bad I... more

I don't know what the other reviewers where reading, but this a solid run on The Amazing Spider-man, One reviewer said Parker had no girlfriends in his life at the time, this is not true, Betty Brant makes a return (She's separated from Ned Leeds)and wants to hook up with Pete (she here through out the whole book), then there's the Black Cat, she really likes Spider-man, Mary Jane is gone but not... more

I absolutely love these volumes of classic comics. The Defenders were one of my favorites. Thanks to marvel I am now able to go back and cheaply plug in the holes of missing issues from my actual comic collection and not spend a fortune. The only drawback on these Essential volumes is the lack of color illustration, but I understand that its why they can combine so many issues in one book for such... more

| | 8. Showcase Presents: Supergirl Vol. 2 |
| By: Various Publisher: DC Comics December 16, 2008
This book is a great value for the money with hundreds of pages of Supergirl stories from the 60s for under $20. But the problem is many of them are not very good.
Like her cousin, this version of Supergirl is gifted with a vast array of god-like powers not only able to fly, not only strong, but able to travel through time, manufacture anything she needs at super speed and has an endless... more

Marvel Team Up Volume 1 is a fun collection of stories where a superhero (normally Marvel's biggest icon Spiderman) joins up with another superhero (most often the Human Torch, but also Iron Man, The Thing, and some secondary characers such as Moon Knight and Luke Cage.) They fight such major Marvel foes as Annilus and Sandman (as well as a roster of B and C list villains such as The Orb,Stegron, Puppet... more

Ghost Rider battles Satan, the ultimate adversary, who unfortunately comes across as a stereotypical, almost comically inept supervillian. A necessary look at the character's origins, but it only got better from here. ... more
