| 1. Pinky & Stinky |
| By: James Kochalka By: James Kochalka Publisher: Top Shelf Productions July 01, 2002
I wish I could see in "Pinky and Stinky" what other reviewers appear to, but I can't.
Given that the book seems aimed at young elementary school children, it is particularly regrettable that both pigs and humans frequently name-call, referring to one another as "idiot" and "stupid". Ihe characters don't really have any character, the humor is clumsy, and the plot makeshift at best.more

| | 3. Johnny Boo Book 1: The Best Little Ghost In The World (Bk. 1) |
| By: James Kochalka By: James Kochalka Publisher: Top Shelf Productions June 29, 2008
There's something very weird about "Johnny Boo."
No, it isn't the brand of oddness that assaults the senses, or leads to bad dreams. It's more the sort of uniqueness that leads minds into unexpected places, the eyes to see clear yet not-quite-familiar images and circumstances. "Johnny Boo" resembles a favorite children's book from your own childhood... and yet, manages to classify itself... more

| | 6. Monkey vs. Robot |
| By: James Kochalka By: James Kochalka Publisher: Top Shelf Productions September 01, 2000
Although this book is not excatly black and white, more white and green it is a classic. No it's probably not meant for children and all though it did give me a good chuckle near the end (I love it when the robots talk!!! :D:D) there is some depth to it. Subtly (or not so subtly, whichever you prefer) this book shows how technology is not perfect (although my broken microwave could also... more

| By: James Kochalka By: James Kochalka Publisher: Alternative Comics December 17, 2003
I adore this book. It's, well, adorable. And it also has a really great message at the end.
I've bought, like, a dozen copies of this book already, and I hand them out like Bibles. I'm sad to see that the book seems to be out of print. I need to stock up!... more

Where were YOU on the morning of September 11th, 2001? I was at work when Howard Stern reported that a plane had crashed into one of the World Trade Center Towers. Having been born and raised in The Bronx before moving to Rochester, N.Y., my workday immediately ended as I focused my full attention on Howard's show; He became my only link to the city I loved and would always call home. Later on came... more
