Product Description: Grab the keys to the Oldsmobile and break out the boomstick 'cause Ash is back! The wisecracking everyman with a chin of steel comes face to face with something worse than Deadite possession: Unemployment. Recently returned from his time traveling adventure to Eqypt, Ash gets a taste of department store bureaucracy when he is docked for the damages caused to the store and discovers the evil spirit from the woods now inhabits the aisles of S-Mart.
Nowhere near as good as Ashes 2 Ashes, get that instead. I was really disappointed by this comic. The story continues from where the excellent Ashes 2 Ashes story leaves off. Ash is working at S-Mart, and the deadites invade! There are some good moments with Ash and his coworkers fighting off the deadite hordes, but then it immediately goes downhill with a crappy plot that sends Ash into the future to fight deadites there for no good reason. The artwork by Nick Bradshaw is still excellent, but a section of the book was not done by him and it REALLY suffers. It looks like a toddler drew it or something.
Any Evil Dead fan who loves comics should stay away from this one, as it is hugely disappointing. Stick with Army Of Darkness: Ashes 2 Ashes or buy it if you don't already have it.
Hail to the king Brilliant, hilarious and reminds me of Sam Raini's humor from Evil Dead II. I'm glad that Evil Dead series has continued to exist after Army of Darkness. The comedy is very similar to the that of Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness. Although, the humor and content is definitely adult and not meant for kiddies. So grab your boomstick and get ready for some dark comedy.
