| 2. Green Lantern: The Sinestro Corps War, Vol. 1 |
|
By: Geoff Johns, Dave Gibbons, Ethan Van Sciver Publisher: DC Comics February 20, 2008
I regret a couple of things about this series:
1.- It's do darn short. 2.- Why they couldn't put it all in one fantastic volume?.
Well, now that I got that out of my chest, I can begin this review for The Sinestro Corps War, Vol. 1 by saying it was freaking awesome. I'm just getting in Green Lantern territory, and it all begun with Rebirth.
Action, answers... more

| 3. Green Lantern Vol. 1: No Fear |
|
By: Geoff Johns Publisher: DC Comics April 19, 2006
As a newcomer to GL series I started with GL: Rebirth and was overwhelmed by a sheer number of terms and characters. I didn't like it for that reason. This volume actually is a much better start for a new reader as it focuses on a story and a few characters instead of trying to mention everything in GL mythos... more

| 4. Green Lantern Vol. 2: Revenge of the Green Lanterns |
|
By: Geoff Johns Publisher: DC Comics November 29, 2006
That is the main question that is answered in this book. The main story is how the GL Corps treats Hal as well as Hal's attempt at redemption by saving the lives of many GLs he thought he had killed as Parallax. There is a side story with Green Arrow that could have been left out and another with Batman to show how he accepts Hal.
I liked the Batman story. It wasn't great but it had... more

|
By: Grant Morrison, Frank Quitely Publisher: Marvel Comics June 11, 2008
Grant Morrison is one of those polarizing writers. You either kneel at the altar or kneel at the toilet bowl. Me, i dont really get all the hype but i have enjoyed some of his work. Although it is a far departure from what I had been used to New X-Men is not that bad (my favorite X- period being from Mutant Massacre through Inferno. Fall of the Mutants being the peak). Its not a masterpiece as some... more

| 9. Superman/Batman, Vol. 5: Enemies Among Us |
|
By: Mark Verheiden Publisher: DC Comics March 31, 2009
Batman and Superman are basically being attacked by some alien being who apparently wants to wipe out humanity(of course!); they initially think it's the Martian Manhunter. However, they become perplexed as the alien seems to take on different/older forms of various heroes and villians they have faced in the past.
This is a pretty good Superman/Batman story. The art is good (although... more
