| 1. His Lady Mistress (Harlequin Historical Series) |
|
By: Elizabeth Rolls Publisher: Harlequin October 01, 2005
It's been years since I read a Harlequin. Well written in some places - Elizabth Roll is a wordsmith at times and other times the narrative is disappointing. The characters are contradictory - Lord and Lady Blakehurst are at times both strong and weak. He's supposed to be experienced in the ways of women, but he fails in the most amusing ways to be able to pull himself together sufficiently to communicate... more

| 2. A Compromised Lady (Harlequin Historical Series) |
|
By: Elizabeth Rolls Publisher: Harlequin September 01, 2007
This isn't a lightweight romance, there's a lot of darkness and pain for the heroine. But both main characters are such beautiful people, and the love story so touching and satisfying. He's so darned *good* and she's so stubborn that at times you want to shake them both, but it makes the ending so beautiful and satisfying. Maybe one out of 100 novels can make me cry, but this is one of them... more

The best historical romance I read in years. Touching, romantic, steamy. I liked the new twist on the old governess storyline. Both the characterisation and dialogue make this book one that I will remember... more

By: Elizabeth Rolls Publisher: Harlequin June 01, 2006
I did enjoy this read. I was really looking forward to Jack's book and he has been such a likeable character. Some of his actions in this book seemed a bit out of character to him. The fondness between Cressida and her father was very sweet. At times Jack was perfect and what we all would love in a man and then at times he was just so off his mark that it didn't make alot of sense. The ending... more

By: Elizabeth Rolls Publisher: Harlequin March 01, 2005
I really enjoyed this book and have become a great fan of Elizabeth Rolls. I especially enjoyed the way Mathilda had overcome the adversity of living with vile relations and I loved the Duke. The grand 'misunderstanding' did get a little tedious at times but I thought there was real passion between the main characters that really engaged me as reader. ... more

Mistletoe Kisses is a delightful read. It includes three outstanding tales from Elizabeth Rolls, Deborah Hale and Diane Gaston, all of which I heartily recommend. These tales provided wonderful characters, enjoyable plots and heartwarming endings. This book is a definite keeper, to be read not only at Christmas, but the whole year through... more

By: Nicola Cornick, Joanna Maitland, Elizabeth Rolls Publisher: Harlequin November 01, 2005
this anthology is unusual because instead of three unconnected stories these three are all interconnected to the same family and happen at their house party. While there are some flubs as to historical accuracy and some inplausible behavior considering it's time-the fun and enjoyability of the storylines allowed me to overlook those minor details in favor of the overall story.
