Double Nostalgia Please The Invaders was one of my favorite comics from childhood. In a way, the Invaders provided a double dose of nostalgia, written in the mid-70s about Captain America and company's WWII exploits. As volume two starts off, even Captain America has a flashback to fighting the subversive Reaper. Some details are hilarious. Such as Cap and his sidekick Bucky's alter egos as Army Privates getting court martialed or put on detail for being absent without leave, all the while saving the US and the UK from another Nazi menace.
More classic Invaders Please Gotta' say, this second edition is just as much fun and just as much a blast from my past as the first. I've actually read several of the stories in this volume many times as the whole 'Battle of Berlin' is just an example of a great comic story line to me but it is great to finally have it in the more permanent paperback format. Thanks, Marvel. I understand the entire Invaders series will be made into Classic paperbacks which is great news. Enjoying reading this stuff immensely. Especially now it's wonderful to be able to read comic books with Captain America in them.
