| 1. Superman: Ending Battle |
| By: Geoff Johns, Joe Casey, Joe Kelly, Mark Schultz, Pascal Ferry, Derec Aucoin, Brandon Badeaux, Duncan Rouleau Publisher: Titan Books Ltd June 26, 2009
I picked this up from my weekly comic shop visit after reading Stephen O'Blenis' in-depth review and I must say, it was pretty darn awesome.
I don't want to go into a long and drawn-out review but there were so many excellent qualities to it that I could not see myself giving it less than five stars.
"Ending Battle" has all the elements of what makes Superman a cool character... more

| | 2. JSA: Fair Play (Book 4) |
| By: David S. Goyer, Geoff Johns Publisher: Titan Books Ltd May 30, 2003
I've been a fan of Justice Society since the mid-1970s when All-Star Comics 3 was re-released.
They've been updated and brought into modern times. But it's still a talented group of writers and artists that are doing today's stories.
Great heroes! Great series!... more

My 7-year-old loves these comics. The only problem I have with them is that the bindings do not hold up well. Often on the first or second reading, the book is falling apart... more

| | 7. Green Lantern: A New Dawn |
| By: Ron Marz, Darryl Banks Publisher: DC Comics 1998-02
Overall, Green Lantern Volume 3 was a poor representation of the Green Lantern franchise. Green Lantern Volume 4 with Hal Jordan back has never been better as evidenced by the current sales. Green Lantern is currently more popular than any single Superman or Batman title for a reason.
Instead of this, any part of Volume 4 should be read instead. I highly recommend the Sinestro Corps War... more
