My son found "Meet Jack Truck" at the library a few months ago and it instantly became his favorite book. I agree with the preceeding reviewers who found it to be sexist. It really is. Also, the character of "Monster Truck Max" makes a thinly veiled reference to marijuana use when he brags about being a "pottyhead." Unfortunately, my toddler son loves this book, so in order to compensate for it's... more

|
By: Kamijyo Akimine, Akimine Kamijyo, Dan Danko Publisher: TokyoPop December 09, 2003
I have to give Akimine Kamijyo credit -- while many action manga have fighting tournaments of one type or another, they usually focus on a series of one-on-one fights. But "Samurai Deeper Kyo, Book 4" keeps everything short and sweet, instead focusing on the old enemies (some closer than you'd think) that our little band of anti-heroes must deal with as they home in on Ieyasu's head. And we see just... more
