| 1. Witchblade Compendium Volume I |
| By: David Wohl, Michael Turner, Christina Z., Paul Jenkins, Randy Green, Keu Cha By: Michael Turner Publisher: Top Cow Productions/Image Comics December 20, 2006
I bought this compendium to read this series after I learned that Marc Silvestri, who worked on "The Darkness" comic series, also did this. I had bought the newest versions that were re-released, and I have to say that I am impressed by them. The new covers are now white, making them stand out on your shelf and making them look cooler than the last versions. I have to say, after reading it all, that... more

| | 2. Witchblade Origins Volume 1: Genesis (v. 1) |
| By: David Wohl, Christina Z., Michael Turner Publisher: Top Cow Productions/Image Comics May 29, 2008
I've been waiting for years to collect Witchblade titles and was very excited to read these.
A few things bothered me though: first off, the binding is just ridiculous. I think my 2 year old nephew could glue a macaroni man on paper better than Top Cow's binder. This may not seem like a big deal but it really made the images more difficult to enjoy when I would try to open the page to... more

R.I.P. Michael Turner. If you want to hold some of the most beautiful comic art, and I hesitate to call it that, then check out this book. He was a master artist with a distinctive look and it truly is heart breaking that his genius was cut too short. He will be MISSED... more

| | 5. Witchblade Distinctions (Volume 1) |
| By: David Wohl, Christina Z., Michael Turner Publisher: Top Cow Productions/Image Comics April 01, 2001
If you enjoy historcal based comics, this is a great comic for you. The story lines are all interesting and the comics are well drawn. I like that the stories span different cultures and different time periods, not going in a striaght line of time, but going in order. I espeaiclly like the vistion of the future, and if you are interested int he back ground of the witchblade and how that affects sarah... more

| | 8. Witchblade: Darkness |
| By: Christina Z., David Wohl, Michael Turner, Marc Silvestri, D-Tron, Batt Publisher: Top Cow Productions/Image Comics January 01, 2001
The Family Ties story arc, which was basically a crossover between the Witchblade and the Darkness, is the most poorly written, confusing, non-reader friendly story arc I've ever read. When I first read this, I thought I must be stupid because I didn't understand a thing I was reading. I reread it, and still had no idea what was going on. I finally realized: I'm not dumb, this story arc is just... more

The Witchblade is a powerful mystical artifact, and it can only be used by women. It also seems to have some sort of mind of its own, and its own ulterior motives, seeking out those whom it wants to be wielded by.
