| 1. Book of Three |
|
By: Lloyd Alexander Publisher: Listening Library 1991-12
Before there was Harry Potter, there was Taran. THE BOOK OF THREE is the first book in The Chronicles of Prydain series. These five books are classics, beautifully and tightly written. In terms of literary influence, the Chronicles rank second only to Tolkien. These are books one can recommend to parents without hesitation as they introduce children to the moral dilemmas and complexities of adulthood... more

| 2. Cisco CallManager Fundamentals (2nd Edition) |
|
By: John Alexander, Chris Pearce, Anne Smith, Delon Whetten Publisher: Cisco Press October 02, 2005
One of the other customer reviews for this book (which may have been removed by now because I have complained about it) says: "This book has been updated to include the 4.1 version, a big improvement over the old book which covered 3.0 or maybe 3.1."
But clearly, that customer was referring to the 2nd Edition of the book - this book that you are looking at is the First Edition; in other... more

| 4. Hoops Nation: A Guide to America's Best Pickup Basketball |
|
By: Chris Ballard Publisher: Bison Books October 01, 2004
Having been turned on to Ballard's witty and insightful prose through his frequent contributions to Maxim (check out his article on Russia!), Men's Health, and Point of View, I was ecstatic to finally sit down and read Hoops Nation. While the format does not allow the reader to fully appreciate Ballard's entire literary arsenal, it does nevertheless reveal his unmatched love for the game of... more

By: Larry Hama, Aaron Loeb, Ralph Macchio, Joe Kelly, Scott Lobdell, Duncan Rouleau, Adam Kubert, Chris Alexander, Luciano Lima, Ramon Bernado, Val Semeiks, Anthony Winn, Joe Bennett, Ed McGuiness, Tommy Lee Edwards, Joe Madureira Publisher: Marvel Comics December 31, 2008
This book is great if you wanna follow Wolverine's history - it even has his feral degradation storyline. Larry Hama continues good job, art is good.
What really makes me angry is that nobody even tried to remove shades of gray that were unpopular even in Essential Wolverine 4. Do they have Photoshop or something like that at Marvel? Or couldn't someone retrace it?... more

If you've ever wanted to just read a well written book with simple, practical advise on how to improve your life - this is it.
