| 1. Uncanny X-Men: Lovelorn |
|
By: Matt Fraction Publisher: Marvel Comics July 01, 2009
Seriously... when you're done you'll say "whoaa was that an X-men comic!?" this plot came out of nowhere and its pretty boring. Hey the art is nice. and who doesnt like Emma Frost?... more

| 2. Uncanny X-Men: Sisterhood TPB |
|
By: Matt Fraction Publisher: Marvel Comics September 23, 2009
I may be biased as Psylocke is my favorite comic book character, but this story is actually pretty interesting besides that. This features another body switch dilemma along with her return to the X-Men series. It also brings in a nice list of villains to entertain readers including Jean Grey's lovely clone, which is actually the main focus of this novel. I particularly enjoyed its buildup and that... more

| 3. Uncanny X-Men Vol. 1: Manifest Destiny |
|
By: Ed Brubaker, Matt Fraction Publisher: Marvel Comics November 11, 2009
Manifest Destiny is pretty awesome! There's never a moment shy of entertainment, and it's really easy to follow(a great change of pace from New X-men). The best part of this arc is the new realistic threat, the X-men interactions, and Manifest Destiny #1-5 which explores characters individually and comes out fantastic. It reminded me of Astonishing's Ghost Boxes, but this series ended up doing... more

| 4. Uncanny X-Men - The New Age Vol. 1: The End of History |
|
By: Chris Claremont, Alan Davis Publisher: Marvel Comics December 15, 2004
As a fan of the X-Men and all the other X-titles, I was sorely disappointed in this graphic novel.
The beginning, which featured a baseball game with the residents of X-Mansion, was perhaps the only best thing of the entire novel. After that, it just went downhill!
The battle with the Fury just simply bored me. The Fury, to me, was simply a repackaged version of the... more

| 5. Uncanny X-Men: Divided We Stand |
|
By: Ed Brubaker, Michael Choi Publisher: Marvel Comics October 22, 2008
This trade paperback collects issues #495-499 of Uncanny X-Men published by Marvel Comics in 2008. Ed Brubaker, perhaps the best writer in modern comics, wrote all five issues. Mike Choi was the artist for the first four issues and Sonia Oback for the fifth. The post-Messiah CompleX story shows two groups of X-Men: Cyclops and Emma Frost on vacation and later searching for Angel in San Francisco... more

| 7. Uncanny X-Men: Manifest Destiny |
|
By: Matt Fraction, Ed Brubaker Publisher: Marvel Comics May 06, 2009
After all the bad things happening to the X-men they finally catch a break and start to enjoy life a little. I like the new character Pixie and seeing old x-men show up looking for home. (Even Queen Ororo). Also the art looks great... more

| 8. Uncanny X-Men - The New Age Volume 4: End Of Greys TPB (X-Men (Graphic Novels)) (vol. 4) |
|
By: Chris Claremont Publisher: Marvel Comics July 19, 2006
I wasn't too impressed with Chris Claremont's new run on the Uncanny X-Men. Most of what he wrote in the first 3 volumes of "The New Age...X-Men" was a rehash of a rehash. Seeing the X-Men playing a baseball game for the opening of one of the books wasn't a new concept, but I buy into the baseball game because the game is always used when multiple teams get together, it's a continuity thing. more

| 9. Uncanny X-Men: Rise & Fall of the Shi'ar Empire (v. 1) |
|
By: Ed Brubaker Publisher: Marvel Comics February 27, 2008
This is a pretty solid story line seeing the x-men chase after one of their own bent on revenge against the Shi-ar empire. The pacing of the story and the art work are solid four star fare. Not quite sure how much I like the loose ends at both the beginning and conclusion of this story -- point being there are at least two other series you need to read to get the full picture. I have read neither... more

| 10. Dark Avengers/Uncanny X-Men: Utopia |

By: Matt Fraction Publisher: Marvel Comics April 07, 2010
The X-Men vs. the Dark Avengers and Norman Osborne, and the X-Men establishing Utopia, a place where all mutants can live in freedom without prejudice. All of this make this a great X-Men read. ... more
