| 1. Batman Adventures: The Lost Years (The Batman Adventures) |
|
By: Hilary Bader, Bo Hampton Publisher: DC Comics 1999-02
The Lost Years fills in the gap between the original animated series and the new adventures. It is quite hard to find and I was really excited to get my hands on it. Especially considering that two of the books in here... more

Fans of Road to Perdition, Ms. Tree, Quarry or other works of Collins will enjoy the hard boiled style in this Faust meets Mike Hammer story. Dynamite (a Peter Morisi creation from the forties now owned by Dick Tracy and Batman scribe Collins) is a Mike Hammer knockoff (or tribute depending on your opinion). A hard boiled detective who loves the ladies and lays waste to the bad guys in Chicago. Until... more

| 5. The Batman Strikes, Vol. 3: Duty Calls |
|
By: Bill Matheny, J. Torres, Christopher Jones, Terry Beatty Publisher: DC Kids September 12, 2007
OK, I'm just not a big fan of The BatMan series (Not to be confused with Bruce Timm's work. It's not bad, but nothing to write home about. The idea of transferring this material to the comics was a marketing ploy and little attempt was made to expand, or at least augment the t.v. series. After the first issue, I gave up. The art it uninspired as are the stories. ... more
