By: Brian K. Vaughan Publisher: Vertigo May 02, 2007
As the series races to its conclusion, this collection showcases so many different aspects of the world that now exists. So many of the mysteries are coming to a head and then there are two great issues involving charcaters that we met previously. SO good! Vaughan and Guerra have created such a world, not just a story. Great stuff!... more

As I read through other reviews written I see a lot of complaints about the ending, and I definitely sympathize with these readers. The ending leaves you feeling a bit hollow and unfulfilled, but I think it has more to do with the series ending than with the ending itself. I do not see how this series could have ended any differently.
By book 8 I could not see a conclusion that didn't... more

Vaughan & Guerra's epic continues in the 5th collection the the last man on Earth and his trials & tribulations. The story is so immense and involved its great. Flashbacks to before the plague add so much to the back story and the dialogue is classic. Fantastic stuff!!... more

The book was in okay condition. Some doggie-eared pages. But the one thing that keeps irking me is the fact that one of the pages looks like someone (or something) took a bite right out of it. Very upsetting... more

Y: The Last Man, truly starts out with a bang. It's bang in fact is more like a nuclear bomb. This book hits hard and hooks you really fast. I read the volume very rapidly, and put reading before breathing. As a concept it reminds me of Kirkman's Walking Dead series. It's nearly post-apocalyptic, because half of the population kicks the bucket. It's so interesting to discover what would life... more

Another strong volume by Vaughn. There is less inventive atmosphere and more development of character in this volume. There is a notable uprise in puns within this volume--occasionally annoying. ... more

The writing in this book so far above everythig else in its peer group. Vaughan brings so many new nagles to the tale of the last man and his group of friends. No plotline is left dangling. Everything comes back around. The art is as usual, a perfect fit for the book. Words fail me when trying to explain this book's grandure. FANTASTIC!... more
