| By: Raymond E. Feist, Michael Avon Oeming, Bryan J. L. Glass, Brett Booth, Ryan Stegman Publisher: Marvel Comics June 13, 2007
Feists novels all are very amazing reads and I couldn't wait to see the adaptation into a graphic novel. I was very impressed with the beginning chapters. The pictures were very well drawn with vivid color and detail. As I have read all of Feists books, the artists depiction of the characters seemed dead-on and actually showed growth as the pages turned. Chapters 4-6 on the other hand made the main... more

| | 3. Avengers Disassembled: Iron Man, Thor & Captain America |
| By: Michael Avon Oeming, Mark Ricketts, John Jackson Miller, Robert Kirkman, Christopher Priest, Andrea Divito, Tony Harris, Scott Kolins, Jorge Lucas, Scot Eaton, Joe Bennett Publisher: Marvel Comics April 15, 2009
This is great! I won't bother detailing the individual stories, see the reviews of the trades that were compiled into this book for that. I'll simply say that this jubo-sized book is wonderful. The Thor story alone justifies the large size. The final fall of Asgard gave me chills.
The artwork on Iron Man, and Cap is also top-of-the-genre, and benefit from the oversize treatment... more

| | 5. Powers: The Definitive Collection, Vol. 2 |
| By: Brian Michael Bendis Publisher: Marvel Comics February 18, 2009
The stories in this issue are stronger than the previous volume, which means that they are better then almost all of what is currently on the shelves. Problems with production values though are still present. They come in the form of art that at many spots looks scanned from inferior copies and also binding of pages that leaves some art/dialogue difficult to read. These problems are much less noticeable... more

Powers is the greatest comic book series in the world! I feel really dumb for trying to finish reading the earlier stuff so late because Bendis and Oeming have just realeased vol. 3 of the series with a whole new number one. It is a great series for people who love comics and the crime and superhero genre. Would recommend this to anyone... more

| | 7. Powers: The Definitive Collection, Vol. 3 |
| By: Brian Michael Bendis Publisher: Marvel Comics December 23, 2009
Man.. i read this every night after work. Anytime i had to sit to use the bathroom. and any time i had it with me and had a spare moment. This SERIES is a must read. I thought that this omnibus was excellent. Only gripe i have is that some texts get caught in the middle edge and your stretching the page to read it. no biggie though.
I love it. if you buy it, you will love it. ... more

| | 8. Powers Vol. 5: Anarchy |
| By: Brian Michael Bendis, Michael Avon Oeming Publisher: Image Comics January 06, 2004
This is a really short Powers volume, as the words 'Kaotic Chic' appear again, seen near a corpse. There is one woman that is really, really, really unhappy about The Powers and what they are allowed to do.
Basically, what you have here is a commentary on the ethics and legality of those individuals operating, and the devastating effects their conflicts can have on those around them... more

This volume of Powers has three different stories going on. First is the death of Olympia, a famed superhero found dead mysteriously in a ratty apartment. Next is a one-shot issue featuring the acclaimed writer Warren Ellis as himself in ride-along with Detective Walker. Last, there's a story about a washed up superhero called the Shark caught in a binding circumstance.
