"The Night of Morningstar" (1982) should have been a great Modesty Blaise book, but unfortunately it disappoints. The excitement and danger of the first books in the Modesty series is sadly missing. It's almost as if Modesty and Willie Garvin (Modesty's loyal sidekick) are just going through the motions.

Excellent plot lines, character development, setting, artwork and more. The best action comic strip of the '60s through the '90s! I own the entire set of some 15 volumes; I started reading (and cutting out and saving!) the strips in the last '70s, until I left for college in the mid-'80s, where I discovered that there were reprints (Viking Press at the time)... more
